Phatbrane reminds me of Thelonious Monk.
They’re both kind of crazy and they both have a similar approach to music.
The same way Monk set the boundaries for be-bop, Phatbrane is re-setting the boundaries of lo-fi.
The sounds he’s been coming up with for “The Lo-fi Theory – Vol. 1”, dropping April 16, 2021 (PV2), would definitely have Thelonius Monk dancing around his piano.
Phatbrane is raising the bar and pushing the envelope. As the “The Lofi Theory” gains a buzz the expectations will increase.
Meanwhile, we get a new single, “Thoughts”, dropping January 15, 2021(PV2).

Hailey Simone haileysimone.xyz reminds me of Joni Mitchell.
When Joni arrived on the scene she had a beautiful voice, an undeniable musical talent and she also had something relevant to say. Hailey is of that same ilk.
Both Joni and Hailey have impeccable melody and lyric creation skills and both are perfectionist.
Hailey is able to communicate her feelings to the listener as sincerely as if she were pouring out her feelings and beliefs to an analyst. She has the lyrical power to make her listeners feel as if they’ve known her for years, while her voice and production skills are simply astonishing.
Hailey has been working on her album, “On The Heights”, dropping May 2021 (PV2) and she’s also been involved in production for other artists.
Yesterday I got a frantic text from her, “Send me the logic file ASAP! We must delay the release.” Apparently, she’d been listening to her master tracks and wasn’t quite satisfied with something.
Nevertheless, she will be dropping a single, “Maladaptive Daydreams”, January 15, 2021 (PV2).

“I felt obligated to change music to art, the same way that Galileo proved the Earth was round to the world and that the Sun did not stand still.” ~ Phil Spector
